For those of you who have been following the goings on, I am ending the continuity (what little there was) of the "middle expansionist phase." I figure that I got my fun out of it. 
Astute viewers will notice that this design is a number of old ship designs that have been stuck together. I did this to see if I could overcome some of my "not enough geometry" problems. While I think this design was somewhat successful in that regard, it still lacks the surface geometry seen in the best models. Whether or not I will ever have the patience to really do a lot of real surface detail is a question I can't answer right now. (Me? Patient?)

Many races are pleased to make use of ships manufactured by the Vascello:: Muratore. One such ship is this 153 meter craft, officially called the "Eagle Blade" by the manufacturer. Quite fast, and with good agility, the ship is a reasonably capable skirmisher and blocade runner, though it is very slightly undergunned.
The ship shown here is in the standard colors of the Umbra:: Phasmatis Special Space Forces, "The Blood Dragons."

That is a FUN looking ship... I mean, it has the basic form of a fighter, but (if I'm estimating this correctly) has the approximate dimensions of at least a small capital ship. The texture also adds a great deal of depth to the ship. I like it.
