Artist's Comments

This is a model of a ship from the Fading Suns [link] universe. This model is based on concept art by John Bridges and Kathy Schad, which you can see here: [link]

Please note that I do not have any connection with the publishers of the Fading Suns game materials, and the underlying concepts of Fading Suns starships are not my intellectual property.

Please credit me and leave a comment here if you use this model - but also be aware that the context of the model is not a universe over which I have any authorship. :)

The preview picture is a "serving suggestion" only.

Please note that the model IS supposed to be asymmetrical in the forward section.

The zip file contains the following, with the intention being that the model should be as modifiable as possible by end users:

A Sketchup file of the model

A Blender file of the model

An OBJ file of the model

A VUE file of the model, textured and lit as seen in the preview

Hopefully, this model retains enough of the spirit from the concept art to be useful.

Thank you! Although, in truth, real credit goes to the concept artists, John Bridges and Kathy Schad. They have the good idea - I just turn it into a 3d object. :)

Wonderful work mate :)

will be very handy as reference for me if you don't mind. I am just getting started in 3D modeling and love sci-fi.

I'm new to creating Art, Old to enjoying it :)

Thanks! I certainly would be quite glad if it turns out to be a good reference for you - I think that's another role of resources that get posted on DA. :)
